As the Art Director for this Web3 Gaming project, you will be the creative leader who defines and executes the visual vision for the game's identity. You will work closely with the team of developers, game designers, and marketers to create an immersive and aesthetically appealing world that captivates players.

Responsibilities

Develop the overall visual style and aesthetics of the game, ensuring consistency across all aspects and touchpoints (game, website, social media, merchandise, etc.).
Build, lead, and inspire the art team (internal or external) to exceed visual standards.
Collaborate with game designers to seamlessly integrate visual elements with gameplay mechanics.
Ensure the game is visually attractive, innovative, and aligns with the target audience, specifically for Minecraft-like games and Web3.
Monitor the quality of all visual assets and provide feedback to artists.
In collaboration with the marketing team, create the brand guide for developing and managing all game-related visuals (website, trailer, social media, print materials, etc.).

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Art Director or Senior Art Lead in the gaming industry, preferably with experience in 3D gaming or Web3 games.
Demonstrable talent for visual storytelling and creating immersive game environments.
Extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D art tools and pipelines (e.g., Blender, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Unity/Unreal).
Proven experience in leading a team of talented artists and facilitating their growth.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate and convey artistic vision.
A passion for gaming, Web3 technologies, and blockchain.
A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
