About the Position

Introduction

Are you an expert in translating the world of APIs into understandable language for clients and colleagues? Do you enjoy designing architecture and technical processes to help clients leverage them to improve their business? Then you are the API Management Specialist we are looking for!

As an API Management Specialist, you will help organizations optimize their data streams and realize new business models through the efficient design, implementation, and management of API solutions. You will work on challenging projects with various clients, both internally at ilionx and on-site.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on the latest API Management trends and technologies.
Design and implement API Management architectures using platforms such as Azure API Management, Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
Establish API governance and security standards.
Guide development teams in adopting API best practices.
Conduct workshops and training for clients and colleagues on API Management.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in API Management.
Demonstrable experience with one or more API Management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, AWS API Gateway).
Knowledge of API standards such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and OpenAPI.
Experience with microservices architectures and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Completed HBO or university education in a relevant field.
