About the Position

Introduction

Molecule and BIO.xyz are pioneers in Decentralized Science (DeSci), merging biotech with web3 to foster community-owned, transparent, and accelerated scientific research. Molecule provides infrastructure for turning intellectual property (IP) into programmable, on-chain assets via its IP-NFT framework. BIO.xyz serves as the coordination and economic layer, empowering BioDAOs through funding, governance, and ecosystem alignment. Together, they are redefining scientific discovery, enabling communities to own and advance breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

Architect and deploy fleets of scientific agents for literature mining, target identification, molecular design, assay design, and data analysis.
Pilot each fleet against specific disease areas, aiming for tangible deliverables such as validated targets, candidate molecules, novel datasets, or IP-NFTs.
Manage multiple parallel fleets across various disease areas, reporting results directly to the CEO.
Take full ownership of the stack, including agent design, orchestration, evaluation, and scientific judgment of outputs.
Establish and uphold the standards for autonomous science within Molecule.

Requirements

Entrepreneurial mindset: A proactive individual who takes initiative and delivers results without requiring constant oversight.
Technical depth: Proficient in Large Language Models (LLMs), agent frameworks, and at least one wet-science domain (e.g., chemistry, biology, pharmacology, structural biology, genomics).
Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to thrive in environments where you might be the sole expert, driving innovation independently.
Credential-agnostic: Focus on demonstrated output rather than academic titles. While degrees from top-tier institutions (Oxbridge, Ivy League, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, ETH/EPFL, Imperial, or equivalents) are valued, substantial self-taught contributions are equally recognized.
High intensity: Prepared for an immersive 4-week on-site residency, working at a rapid, founder-level pace.
