About the Position

Introduction

Nexford University is seeking a forward-thinking builder to lead their internal AI research and development efforts. In this role, you will act as a bridge between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, transforming educational concepts into functional prototypes. You won't just be building features; you'll be defining the future of how students interact with AI-driven learning platforms.

This position is tailor-made for those who have mastered the 'vibe coding' workflow, focusing on rapid prototyping and iterative development. You will utilize a modern AI-first stack to move from concept to clickable demo in record time.

Responsibilities

Lead internal AI research and development efforts, transforming educational concepts into functional prototypes.
Build agentic systems, moving beyond simple chat to create autonomous workflows and orchestration.
Utilize AI-first tooling such as Cursor, Claude, and v0 to maintain a high-velocity experimentation rhythm.
Advise leadership on RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and model selection.
Integrate the latest AI techniques into real-world educational products.

Requirements

Expertise in 'vibe coding' workflows and rapid prototyping.
Experience with agentic systems and autonomous workflows.
Familiarity with AI-first tools like Cursor, Claude, and v0.
Knowledge of RAG architectures and prompt engineering.
Ability to select and integrate appropriate AI models.
A 'tinkerer mentality' and desire to stay on the bleeding edge of new AI releases.
