As a Senior Engineer at Zowie, you will be instrumental in architecting the backend for next-generation AI agents. You will focus on high-level design and product impact to build resilient distributed systems, moving beyond manual boilerplate.

Responsibilities

Architect the engine behind next-generation AI agents.
Build resilient distributed systems focused on high-level design and product impact.
Utilize modern LLM tools for AI-first workflows, including generating tests, documenting architecture, and scaffolding new services.
Work with Kafka, gRPC, and PostgreSQL to maintain a robust ecosystem of over 100 microservices.
Balance rapid AI-assisted development with rigorous engineering principles like clean architecture and high observability.
Participate in strategic product decisions to shape enterprise adoption of generative AI.

Requirements

Proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of distributed systems.
Familiarity with Kafka, gRPC, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with clean architecture and high observability principles.
Ability to integrate AI into daily development workflows.

Nice to Have

Experience with Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of NoSQL Databases, GraphQL.
Familiarity with message brokers.
