Introduction

Max AI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineer specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our innovative team. You will be instrumental in developing and refining AI agents that drive our fully autonomous medical billing platform, disrupting a $350B/year industry. We are building the world's first human-free, fully-autonomous medical billing AI agent, starting with dermatology and rapidly expanding our capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, experiment with, and evaluate AI agents and Machine Learning (ML) models in the NLP domain to enhance the accuracy of medical coding/billing and other aspects of revenue cycle management.
• Contribute significantly to the development of internal AI frameworks that enable the creation of our advanced AI agents and ML models.
• Collaborate closely within a small, high-impact team, engaging directly with our Operations team and customers to deliver meaningful product improvements.
• Take complete product ownership, tackling challenges across various domains rather than working in silos.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or data science in a production environment.
• Proficiency in using ML/NLP Python packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face transformers.
• Expertise in AI/ML, specifically within NLP (e.g., pre-processing, embeddings, transformer-based models).
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM), including supervised fine-tuning, usage of AI frameworks, and LLM evaluations.

Nice to Have

• Experience working at high-growth startups.
• Exposure to highly regulated industries and/or healthcare.
• Experience with AWS.
