AI Engineer

Channable is a fast-growing, Utrecht-based company that helps e-commerce businesses to manage and optimize their product data for various online marketing channels. Introduction

In this position, you will join our AI team at Channable! The team currently consists of two AI Engineers, a Product Manager, and a Team Lead. We collaborate closely with a dedicated UI/UX Designer, a Front-end Developer, and other development teams. The AI team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving AI-powered features across all Channable products. From internal tooling to customer-facing innovations, we enhance the user experience and optimize our core engine through advanced algorithms and intelligent automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the AI team to design, train, and deploy machine learning models inside Channable’s ecosystem.
• Work closely with Product Managers and UI/UX Designers to integrate AI features into our products.
• Optimize existing algorithms and develop new ones to improve automation and efficiency.
• Contribute to the entire lifecycle of our AI products, from research and development to deployment and monitoring.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and apply them to our challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for best practices in software development and MLOps.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python and relevant ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vector Databases (e.g., Weaviate, Milvus) is a plus.
• Proven track record of deploying and maintaining ML models in a production environment.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices.
• Knowledge of product data management or e-commerce platforms.
