Introduction

As an experienced AI engineer, you understand that AI systems are crucial for interpreting and managing vast datasets within organizations. Your aptitude for conducting statistical analyses on business processes using Machine Learning (ML) techniques is vital for delivering customer-centric solutions. We're seeking your technical expertise and problem-solving drive to enhance organizational efficiency. As an AI Developer on our Air Power team, you will be responsible for training, testing, deploying, and maintaining data-driven models.

In this role, you will lead and shape the strategic direction of critical solutions by leveraging cutting-edge Agentic frameworks. You will be part of a vibrant community of AI professionals company-wide, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver exceptional solutions that revolutionize how the Air Force conducts its daily operations. Your broad technical knowledge will be instrumental in guiding clients through the complexities of Agentic Frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models.
• Own and define the direction of critical solutions using Agentic frameworks.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners.
• Guide clients through Agentic Frameworks implementation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production-grade software in Python, TypeScript, or Java with APIs and data services (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, REST, GraphQL, or SQL).
• Experience developing and deploying AI-enabled applications such as LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows to solve mission problems.
• Experience building secure data foundations on enterprise cloud platforms like AWS, including governed ingest and file exchange, data catalog and metadata, and data mesh-style data products for cross-team and cross-base reuse.
• Ability to design event-driven integrations and workflow automation (e.g., asynchronous messaging or audit logging) to facilitate action from insights.
• Ability to implement MLOps or DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization, automated testing, or model evaluation.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with geospatial or 3D data, including point clouds, LiDAR, photogrammetry, digital-twin, or facility and asset data models.
• Experience integrating sensor streams or IoT telemetry and edge-to-cloud data flows (e.g., Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or equivalent) for asset monitoring and situational awareness.
• Experience deploying software and data or ML pipelines in disconnected, air-gapped, or classified environments.
• Experience with cross-domain data handling constraints.
• Experience with RMF or STIG-aligned delivery.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and practices (e.g., code copilots, automated tests, or secure-by-design patterns) to responsibly increase delivery velocity.
• TS/SCI clearance.
