About the Position

Introduction

Are you passionate about cloud computing and eager to solve unique technical challenges for U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ADC Engineer I to join our Non-Relational Database Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building the operational scalability for massively scaled services like DynamoDB, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, Managed Blockchain, Neptune, and Timestream, enabling critical missions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the brightest engineers at Amazon, develop your skills, and contribute to one of the largest cloud infrastructures globally. You will become an expert in AWS Services platform diagnosis, response, measurement, and automation.

Responsibilities

Design and build operational scalability to sustain the platform's rapid growth.
Participate in deep-dive troubleshooting to identify the root cause of complex issues.
Conduct technical post-mortem discussions.
Investigate and address metric anomalies.
Consult with top engineers to develop solutions.
Propose and implement radical new approaches to automate operational issues.

Requirements

Must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Willingness to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.
Strong Linux fundamentals and experience working with Linux environments.
Eagerness to learn and develop both technical and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with massive distributed systems.
Familiarity with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, Managed Blockchain, Neptune, and Timestream.
