Introduction

As an Accounting & Financial Operations Analyst at Nascent, you will be instrumental in building and refining their financial systems. This role encompasses both traditional finance and emerging digital asset structures, focusing on data capture, cleaning, and automation. If you are detail-oriented, a fast learner, and passionate about transforming manual processes into scalable systems, this remote opportunity operating within +/- 3 hours of EST is for you.

Responsibilities

• System Enhancement: Elevate Nascent's crypto accounting system, contributing to the design and improvement of infrastructure for wallet flows and real-time reporting.
• Financial Ownership: Manage fiat and crypto books end-to-end, from wallet/exchange to ledger and reporting, ensuring accuracy and speed.
• Data Transformation: Collaborate with engineering and operations to design workflows and controls, converting complex data into reliable systems and strengthening the accounting stack.
• Financial Integrity: Maintain financial truth by ensuring reconciliations, ledgers, and documentation are precise and audit-ready.
• Automation: Automate manual tasks using integrations, smart tools, or scripting to replace repetitive and fragile processes with scalable solutions.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues before they escalate, proposing solutions and driving improvements to completion.

Requirements

• Proven ability to take ownership, set clear expectations, and deliver results independently.
• Comfortable thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• A problem-solver who focuses on root causes to build scalable systems without sacrificing speed.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI and automation to enhance work efficiency and quality.
• Highly hands-on and detail-oriented, willing to delve into specifics to ensure accuracy.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial operations or an accounting-intensive role.
• Solid accounting fundamentals, including expertise in close cycles, compliance, and daily bookkeeping.
• High digital fluency, particularly with AI-driven workflows and modern analytical tools.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and maintain momentum in dynamic environments.

Nice to Have

• Formal accounting training (CPA track or Big 4 experience).
• Familiarity with crypto accounting or digital asset workflows.
• Experience contributing to or building custom financial software.
• Background in lean teams or startup environments, valuing speed, ownership, and adaptability.
